Quote checked against the text
“The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it.” — attributed to Marcus Aurelius
In substance, yes; in this wording, no. The idea is at Meditations, IV, 3; George Long’s 1862 edition is quoted below, and the sentence as it circulates is not this translator’s.
In substance, yes. The sentence closes Book IV, chapter 3, the chapter on retreating into one’s own soul, and Long gives it in 1862 as “The universe is transformation: life is opinion.” Neither “the universe is change” nor “what our thoughts make it” is in his text; both belong to other renderings, and the version with “change” and “thoughts” is the one that circulates most.
The shape survives, the words move. Long’s “opinion” is the judgment we form about things, which the chapter has just named as the only source of our troubles: “our perturbations come only from the opinion which is within.” Turning it into “what our thoughts make it” is close, but it hides the technical word the whole chapter turns on.
A shorter variant, “The universe is transformation; life is opinion”, also circulates: it is Long’s sentence with a semicolon where he wrote a colon. The chapter is in the app with its reference: Meditations, IV, 3.

The passage of this chapter as Stoïque gives it, with its reference.
People seek retreats for themselves: houses in the country, the shore, the mountains. You too long for such things. But that is the mark of the most ordinary of men, since you may withdraw into yourself whenever you choose. Nowhere can a man withdraw more quietly, or more free of trouble, than into his own soul.
— MARCUS AURELIUS · MEDITATIONS, IV, 3
